Peat & Perlite began the way many great plant collections do, with just a few plants and a little extra time at home during the 2020 lockdowns. What started as a way to bring more life and greenery indoors quickly became a passion. First came the pink plants, then the aroids, and before long we found ourselves completely captivated by the incredible diversity of Anthuriums.
As our collection grew, so did our love of learning. We became fascinated not just by collecting plants, but by propagating, breeding, growing, and sharing them with others who appreciate rare and beautiful foliage as much as we do. Today, our plants are lovingly grown and bred in our greenhouse on Sydney's North Shore, where we focus on producing healthy, high-quality plants for collectors across Australia.
We believe that exceptional plants shouldn't have to come with an exceptional price tag. Our goal is to make unique and desirable plants more accessible, whether you're purchasing your very first Anthurium or adding another special specimen to an already overflowing collection.
Every plant we sell is one we would be proud to grow in our own collection. We carefully raise, select, and pack each plant with the same attention and care we would want as collectors ourselves.
