At Peat & Perlite, we genuinely care about the health and quality of every plant we sell. Before leaving our care, each plant is inspected to ensure it is healthy, well-established, and free from any obvious pests or disease.
As our plants are living organisms, no two plants are exactly alike. Variations in leaf size, colour, shape, maturity, and minor cosmetic imperfections are a natural part of growing plants and are not considered faults.
📦 Shipping & Plant Health
We take great care when packing plants for transit, but once a parcel leaves our hands, shipping conditions are outside of our control. Factors such as transit time, weather conditions, handling by postal services, and the recipient's local environment can affect a plant's appearance upon arrival.
It is normal for plants to experience some stress during transit, which may include:
- A small amount of leaf yellowing
- Minor cosmetic damage to leaves
- Slight dehydration
- Temporary drooping or wilting
Most plants recover quickly after being unpacked, watered if required, and allowed to acclimatise to their new environment.
📸 If Your Plant Arrives Damaged
If your plant arrives with significant damage caused during transit, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery.
To help us assess the situation, please provide:
- Clear photographs of the plant
- Photos of the packaging and shipping box
- Your order number
We will review each case individually and work with you to find a fair solution where appropriate.
🚫 Returns & Change of Mind
Due to the perishable nature of live plants, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds for:
- Change of mind purchases
- Minor cosmetic imperfections
- Normal transplant or shipping stress
- Environmental damage after delivery
- Incorrect care provided after the plant has been received
